Guided Tours & Field Trips 

 

Your visit will mean more when you walk through 45,000 square feet of museum gallery with a guide. The wagons, harvesters and tractors each have a story.  Each story teller has a spin based on his or her experience down on the farm, mine, or moving mountains.

Schedule a Guided Group Tour or a Student Field Trip

Tours must be booked at least one week in advance. Tour groups may request a guided tour at no additional cost.

 

Fill out the reservation form at the bottom of this page. Once you submit the reservation form, we will contact you as soon as possible to confirm the dates and times.

Scavenger Hunt

 

The museum provides a scavenger hunt for all guests. Once finished you can collect a small prize in the lobby.

Ag Adventures – Field Trips

 

We encourage teachers to contact the museum at least 10 working days in advance and inquire what digital museum materials are available.  Ag Adventures are designed for Grades 1-6,  and Advanced adventures are also available.  Once the tour fee is paid, digital materials will be made available to the tour leader upon request . The museum is not able to print materials.

Lunch

 

Guests may consider bringing a picnic and spread your family quilt out on the lawn. Ask us about options!

Arrival Time

 

Please arrange for your group to arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled tour.

Late Arrival

 

Please call the museum at (530) 666-9700 immediately.  Let us know you are running late. Museum guides volunteer and their time is precious.  You may need to re-book your tour if you are late and a museum guide is important to you.

Youth Chaperone Policy

 

We require 1 adult chaperone for every 10 visitors from ages 6 through 17. We require 1 adult for every 5 visitors age 5 or under.

Please contact the museum in advance and inform us of specific accommodations needed by someone in your group.
